Gluten free birthday cake!

Gluten free cakes aren’t hard to come by these days and thanks to mummy, I had one waiting for me when I got home from London. A double chocolate loaf cake from Marks and sparks with a few added extras for aesthetic glamour of course! It was delicioso!

BOUNCE back (7 day HIIT )

It’s not often I post workout related blog posts but as I lay here semi paralysed in the euphoric post-workout buzz, I thought I might share a good circuit workout with you all which I use after illness or injury or holiday to kick me back onto the fitness road after a short stint away, it is my birthday next thursday and the birthday dress must be worn with respect lol

HIIT is the only cardio I like to indulge in, I cant stand being on a treadmill or crosstrainer for 45 mins and to be honest it would be a waste of my time anyway. These workouts get your heart pumping and combine lots of different movements to work your whole body alot harder so anyway this is what I do (depending on your level of fitness you can alter to your preference)

Jumping squats
Mountain climber sliders
Reverse crunches
Skipping
standing Knee to elbow raises
Plank
Lightweight arm raises

Do 30 sec of each and continue until until you can no longer stand, you can take 15 sec rests in between them after the first 2-3 sets of the circuit.

I dont often do cardio but I  will do this for about 7 days combined with lemon shred abd clean meals (blended lemons in water morning and late afternoon) and it always puts me back into gear

Peanut butter fruit and nut balls

Hello all!

Just whipped up a batch of these little gems of deliciousness! Perfect alongside coffee for a sweet snack alternative and so easy and quick.

Ingredients:

Handful of Mixed nuts of choice ( I used brasil nuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds)
Dates
Sunflower seeds
Pumpkin seeds
Linseeds
Raisins/cranberrys/dried fruits
1 tablespoon Peanut butter
Teaspoon of honey
Sprinkle of cinnamon

Simply blend and then roll into balls! Store in a tub when the sweet tooth comes to play 🙂
